The QPFU Member App is a private, invite-only mobile application designed to enhance communication and engagement between the union and its 3,000 members.
It allows members to access shift calendars, newsletters, events, and contact directories, while also enabling them to receive push notifications and submit notes or personal updates to the union.
With simple navigation and secure payment, SRSR empowers Parents and athletes to stay on track with their fitness goals while eliminating the need for manual bookings, spreadsheets or paperwork.
Thus, SRSR (Start Running Stay Running) simplifies and strengthens the connection between parents and organized training programs anytime, anywhere.

Key Features

Members can securely access a private invite only app to view shift calendars, union events, newsletters, benefits and committee contracts while receiving real time push notifications.
Members can view colour code shift schedules alongside public holidays, pay days and union events, plus user can add their own private event with reminders and optional phone calendar sync.
Members can browse and open the latest union newsletters directly from live website links inside the app.
Members can quickly find and contract committee members, delegates and branch representatives using searchable and filterable contact directory.
Members can view exclusive sponsor offers and union benefits with quick access to related contact options.
Members can create personal notes and optionally share them with the union office via email while keeping a saved copy inside the app.
Admin can manage user accounts, control member data, send push notifications, and upload calendars and contacts for all members.

Challenges

Event syncing with native calendar for both app. Showing native calendar event in the app.
Assign members to shift on a day wise basis, with scheduling available on a monthly and yearly view.
Show the complete Branch and Committee Directory within the app, making it accessible to all members.
Tracking attendance and payments for each child across sessions.
Managing missed sessions and updating attendance records accurately.

Solution

We used the native API for it and handle the native events data in the app.
We add functionality that any changes made by the admin to shift types, color codes, pay days, public holidays, pupil-free days, or general events automatically reflect in members’ calendars in real time.
We add functionality allowing admins to update this section by uploading an Excel sheet with the required column headers and data, as well as upload or update profile photos.
Use QR code–based attendance to automate tracking for admins and parents.
Provide automatic reserve sessions for missed session without additional payment to maintain flexibility.
